2018 Jax Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, California $53.99
Winemaker Notes
JAX Vineyards sources this estate Cabernet Sauvignon from the family’s vineyard in northern Calistoga. David Jackson purchased the family vineyard after 5 years of searching for his ideal terroir encompassing alluvial loam soil, dry farmed vineyards, and the elemental protection of our little valley. The JAX name represents an updated, modern twist of the family name.
Blend: 95% Cabernet Sauvignon 5% Cabernet Franc

This is a very transparent, pretty Napa cabernet with blackberry and blackcurrant aromas that show undertones of bark and dried herbs. It’s full-bodied with firm, creamy tannins and a flavorful finish Linear and racy at the end. Better after 2022.
RP91Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is redolent of ripe black currants, plum preserves and black cherry compote with touches of menthol, pencil lead, bay leaves and dark chocolate. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is packed with crunchy black fruit flavors, supported by well-judged, grainy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long with a minty kick. Rating: 91+

2019 Jax Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, North Coast, California $22.99
This is an impressive wine at an unbelievably fair price point. It is simple and smooth, with an easy drinkability. Red fruit, black pepper and toasted oak play well together in a medium-bodied style with balance. VIRGINIE BOONE

2020 Jax Y3 Taureau Red Bordeaux Blend, Napa Valley, California $27.99
The name "Taureau" was the name of the Jackson family’s prized bull, legendary for his feisty, high-kicking and vibrant personality. When perfecting this wine at their blending session, the JAX team concurred that the complex personality of their infamous bull reflected the complex structure and elements of this indulgent red blend... and what a perfect tribute to their family ranching legend. Reflecting the dominating character of Taureau, this wine boasts incredible purple fruit colors, flavors of blackberry, black cherry and red on the palate, and all supported by polished tannins. Balanced and delicious, this wine should drink well until 2027. "Your food should be so lucky to be paired with Taureau.".
60% Cabernet Sauvignon 35% Merlot 5% Cabernet Franc

2019 Vineyard 29 Cru Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, California $42.99
Dark cherry and blackberry aromas with black pepper, cinnamon/clove spices and cedar smoke. The mouth begins with a big hit of smoky spice and black raspberry with notes of roasted chilies and dried plums. The finish has loads of substantial skin tannins with plenty of juicy acidity that elevates the pallet, maintaining ample ripe flavors long into the finish. This is an especially intense Temperance Hill, reflecting the small berries and full ripeness achieved in 2018.
The de-stemmed grapes were fermented in 4-8 ton stainless steel and Burgundy oak fermenters with no SO2, allowing the fermentations to process naturally. After gentle pressing and settling, the wine aged in French oak barrels, 19% of which were new, for 16 months before bottling by gravity and without fining.

2019 ZD Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, California $81.99
Winemaker Notes
Deep red Bing cherries, black cassis, dried lavender, and chocolate covered espresso bean aromas lead to a fresh, fruit forward entry and a rich, concentrated mid palate. Structured, mouth watering acidity and firm, balanced tannins provide framework for this velvety textured, expressive and polished Cabernet. The finish is long and carries for several seconds leaving the consumer wanting another sip.

Blend: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 5% Petite Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Cru Napa Valley is outstanding, and at the less than the $100 price point, it’s about as good as it gets! Ripe cassis, flowers, spicy oak, and tobacco notes all emerge from the glass, and it’s a ripe, round, wonderfully textured Cabernet that will shine for a decade or more. Best After 2022

2021 Jax Y3 Chardonnay, Napa Valley, California $25.99
Fermented in concrete and then aged in neutral oak, this value-minded white is impressive. Bright and fresh in good acidity, it has light layers of lemon and pineapple that deliver plenty of flavor in an elegant package. VIRGINIE BOONE
