2023 Patrick Piuze Bourgogne Aligoté “1953”, Burgundy, France $37.99
From an old Aligoté plot in Saint-Bris, planted in 1953. Fermented and aged 50% in barrel 50% in tank. Impressive saline and mineral notes with a crisp acidity.
This Bourgogne Aligoté is a bright and lively sip of Burgundy’s more playful side. Bursting with crisp green apple and fresh lemon zest, it’s a wine that feels as refreshing as a spring morning. Delicate floral notes and a touch of crushed stone minerality add a layer of sophistication. On the palate, it’s zippy and clean, with a hint of white peach and a vibrant, mouthwatering finish that leaves you craving another glass.

2022 Domaine Francois Mikulski Bourgogne Blanc, Burgundy, France $78.99
This wine is made of 100% Chardonnay. The grapes come from vines around 25 years of age on four separate plots in Mersault. Two-thirds of the juice is fermented in large oak, 10% of which is new oak, with the remaining third of juice being fermented in tank. The wine sings with a balance of crystalline pure fruit and texture from the oak, and would be a lovely pairing with crab cakes and roasted potatoes with lemon, thyme, and oregano. François Mikulski's family is originally from Poland, but his father left in 1939, and eventually settled in Dijon, France, where François was born. He does not have a large line of vignerons before him, but makes delicious white Burgundy nonetheless.

2022 Edmond Cornu & Fils Bourgogne Rouge 'Les Barrigards', Burgundy, France $39.99
Cornu’s exemplary Bourgogne Rouge comes from a single parcel of vines planted in the 1980s downslope of Chorey-lès-Beaune, across the Route Nationale on gravelly soils of clay and limestone. Pierre judiciously employs no new oak during its 12-month élevage. This pinot noir offers lovely purity in its profile of bright red fruits, damp earth, and incense, capturing the essence of this sector of the Côte de Beaune.

2021 Henri & Gilles Buisson Saint-Romain Rouge 'Sous Roche', Burgundy, France $89.99
This vineyard planted to Pinot Noir faces the “Sous la Velle” vineyard on the opposite side of the valley, on similarly steep slopes. The soil of this lieu-dit is a mix of limestone and marne. The vines are planted to a density of 10,000 per hectare. The grapes, harvested manually, are destemmed to 90% and the wine is aged in barrel for a twelve month period. The Pinot vines in “Sous Roche” are of an average age of 50 years with low yields and excellent concentration. There is great purity to this organically grown fruit and the ultimate wine is somewhat rustic in nature with notes of wild red fruits in the nose and flavors.

2020 Jean-Marc Millot Cote de Nuits Villages, Burgundy, France $81.99
Pure and ripe red fruit, pomegranate, red currant, with a hint of minerality. Broad in style, rich and juicy on the palate, with delicate variation and complexity. The unique fullness and complexity of the rattan are quite wonderful. Dark red in colour.

3 parcels: ‘Vignottes’, ‘Vaucrains’, ‘Essards’
