Pop-up Oregon Wine Tasting
with winemaker guest!

($20 per person)
Wednesday, February 26th
at Le Petit Bijou

Join us for an exclusive pop-up Oregon wine tasting featuring special guest winemaker Scott Frank of Bow & Arrow!
This a fantastic opportunity to meet one of Oregon's top winemakers and savor his delicious Loire Valley-inspired wines.  Don't miss out!

"
Bow & Arrow is winemaker Scott Frank's interpretation of the Willamette Valley’s humble terroir. According to him, "the valley I know and love is as much a blue-collar agricultural area as it is a boutique wine destination. It’s as much a collection of relatively simple, clay dominated soils as it is home to multi-generation family estates and renowned AVA’s. Bow & Arrow uses a different template to explore this different, simpler side of the Willamette Valley. Instead of Burgundy, we pay homage to the refreshing and decidedly working class wines of France’s Loire Valley."

Working in the region since 2007, he founded Bow & Arrow in 2010 and today it is a full fledged, subterranean winery located in Northeast Portland. He sources fruit from a small group of reliably outstanding farmers who were willing to take a risk grafting or planting the varieties he needed and to farm them in a way that was aligned with his beliefs. While there is no one “house style”, he embraces a principal of drinkability and low-intervention; a humble word that embodies the spirit of wine drinking we celebrate.

2022 Bow And Arrow `Time Machine` Blanc, Willamette Valley, Oregon $29.99
The dream duo of Chenin + Chard from a fave Oregon producer
Grape: Chenin Blanc, a splash of Chardonnay and Melon de Borgogne

Taste: Chenin Blanc from Oregon, but Loire style—meaning stony, mineral-forward, semi-full, semi-cool, and redolent in unripe green and yellow fruit, plus whispery citrus and chamomile, and touches of ginger. A perfect example of how Chenin and Chard can play off one another, bringing out their bests, and making a gorgeous semi-full white.

2022 Bow And Arrow `Fool`s Gold` Blanc, Willamette Valley, Oregon $34.99
50% Chardonnay/50% Sauvignon Blanc
Medium Gold with so much happening on the nose! Tropical fruits and underripe mango, crisp green fruits, layers of complex aromas. Dry and full bodied with medium acidity, the palate over delivers with incredibly rich flavors of florals, ripe tropical fruits (mango, mangosteen, pineapple), stone fruits, and a gorgeous minerality. A long finish, this is a standout wine and just stupid delicious!

"After experimenting in 2019 with making a Cheverny Blanc style Chard/Sauv Blanc blend and having it exceed all expectations I am happy (relieved?!) to announce I went all in and made much more in 2020.

While the 2019 is densely packed with dry extract and layers of dried fruits the 2020 is a slightly more subtle and nuanced take on those qualities. Like the difference between 4th and 5th grade. Or Sprewell between the Warriors and the Knicks. Or Tim and Pleased to Meet Me.
You get the deal."

2022 Bow And Arrow Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon $32.99
Ripe red cherries, delicate violets, and a whisper of earthiness, all elegantly intertwined in each sip. Pair this with roasted duck drizzled in a balsamic reduction, allowing the wine's soft tannins to dance harmoniously with the rich flavors.
This joyful little bottle is sourced from various sites in the Willamette Valley and is made with carbonic maceration, resulting in a wildly aromatic wine with plenty of tart super crunchy red fruits. Made with minimal intervention, this is pure Oregon "glou glou" at its finest.

2021 Bow And Arrow `Air Guitar` Rouge, Willamette Valley, Oregon $34.99
50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Cabernet Franc. But not like you think. Low alcohol, freshly fruited, from two very cool Oregon vineyards: Borgo Pass in the foothills of the Coast Range (Cab) and Johan in the Willamette Valley (Cab Franc). Set aside all notions of Northwest Cab/Cab Franc blends: this jams with crunchy fresh blackberries, solos with smoke and herbal notes, rocks with 12.8% alcohol, and finishes on a lip-smacking high note. Like cranking the music when no one's around, it's pure fun.

Like Rhinestones, the name Air Guitar is a self deprecating poke at attempting French style wines in America.  Don’t let the playful nature of the wine’s label fool you -this is our most profound expression of red wine from this region and the one that rewards the most patience.  Aged 10 to 12 months in puncheon.

2022 Bow And Arrow `Time Machine` Rouge, Willamette Valley, Oregon $29.99
This Loire Valley style blend is nicely dark and juicy on the palate, with plenty of herbs on the nose and up the middle, and an easy drinking red. It hits most of the buttons without hitting any of them too hard. Unique and approachable blend of Pinot, Cab Franc, and Gamay. – ABV:12.5%

Our cellar’s non vintage, daily drinker. This years rendition features a blend of Pinot Noir, Gamay and Cab Franc, that has spent time in a combination of stainless steel and neutral oak. Bright, fresh, crunchy and \ great acidity. This wine is equally comfortable on a dinner table entertaining guests, as it is on a front porch with a slight chill on hot summer days.
