NV Gratien & Meyer Cremant de Loire Brut Rose, Loire Valley, France $16.99
Very fine salmon-pink color and fine beading. The nose offers subtle aromas of raspberry and strawberry with a hint of redcurrant. Fresh and smooth in the mouth, with an excellent sense of balance and a base of red berries including raspberry and blackcurrant.
Blend: 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay, 15% Cabernet Franc, 5% Chenin Blanc
This Crémant de Loire Rosé will reveal all its charms as an aperitif or with fish or white meat, and it is particularly good with desserts.
Hugel "Gentil", Alsace, France $16.99
The perfect introduction to Alsace wines as it combines the qualities of all our white varietals. This wine revives an ancient Alsace tradition that wines assembled from noble grape varieties were called "Gentil". Gentil "Hugel" allies the suave, spicy flavour of Gewurztraminer, the body of Pinot Gris, the finesse of Riesling, the grapiness of Muscat and the refreshing character of Pinot Blanc and Sylvaner.
Hugel Pinot Blanc "Cuvee Les Amours", Alsace, France $18.99
Sleek and crisp with lemony acidity that screams out for fish and seafood! In spite of the ripe white-fruit (apple, pear and peach) aromas, anything but loud or domineering, this is a classic example of dry Alsace pinot blanc. -James Suckling
2018 Baud Trousseau Cousu Main, Jura, France $24.99
It reveals notes of cassis, plum and small notes of red fruits associated with hints of white pepper, spices and an imperceptible hint of flowers. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, a bit gourmand and offers a good definition, a small mineral frame, a good volume, a fine suavity as well as a fine acidity (in the background). On the palate this wine expresses notes of plum, ripe red berries and small notes of cherry associated with fine touches of cassis, violet, spices, tonka bean as well as a very discreet touch of cardamom, liquorice and gunflint. Tannins are slightly mellow. Good length.
2019 Hecht & Bannier Lanquedoc Rouge, France $18.99
A blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan. With a beautiful carmine red color, this Languedoc reveals notes of red fruits and then, spicy and peppery shades. It’s a Mediterranean wine but still fresh and thirst-quenching.
2020 Maison du Midi Chateauneuf du Pape, Rhone Valley, France $34.99
Here's a delicious Rhone red from the ripe 2020 vintage. Chateauneuf du Pape Maison du Midi is a wine made from carefully selected grapes from a single estate with vine averaging 15 years of age. Head pruned the vines are growing in classic Southern Rhone terroir of large pebble stones with sandy clay subsoils that balance ripening and keep the roots healthy and strong.
Tasting Panel Magazine scored this 93 points saying "This youthful red, a blend of 84% Grenache, 11% Syrah, and 5% Mourvedre, is plump, round, and ripe. Its noteworthy elegance employs indulgently fresh, delicious blue and red berries, spicy and fragrant. White pepper and cranberry perform a mid-palate performance, igniting a silky texture, while washing the tongue with chalky tannins. Red cherry adds a sweetness to the toasty finish."
2017 Chateau Haut Brisson Rouge, Bordeaux, France $44.99
From a landmark vintage, this dense, sweet fruit of this fuller-bodied wine has started to unfurl. With moderate tannins wrapped in oak and spice, attractive black cherry, black currant, and licorice flavors supply the long, mouthfilling finish. For a typical pairing, try with duck confit or a game bird like squab with bacon and figs.

This is such a friendly and enjoyable red with crushed berries and chocolate, as well as walnut aromas and flavors. It’s full and flavorful with a fine-tannined texture. Success. A blend of 90% merlot and 10% cabernet franc. Drink in 2022, but already a beauty.
