The Line-Up

2019 Malvira "Rive Gauche" (Sparkling Arneis), Piedmont, Italy $21.99
An entirely unique wine find! Sparkling Arneis from the original Roero winery. Aromas of white peach, spring flowers jump from the flute with a slightly herbaceous touch reminiscent of its Piedmont soil. The flavor profile has it all: savory, balanced and pleasantly vibrant with dry finish. No residual sugar.

2020 Malvira Roero Arneis, Piedmont, Italy $19.99
Made with organically grown grapes, this has delicate, enticing aromas reminiscent of ripe white stone fruit, crushed mint, pineapple and freshly made bread dough. On the linear, savory palate, notes of bitter almond and ginger accent a core of Bartlett pear and lemon drop before a tangy mineral close. KERIN O’KEEFE

2020 Casanova Della Spinetta Toscana Vermentino Bianco, Tuscany, Italy $21.99
Terricciola’s soil is sandy and rich in marine sediments and which gives our Vermentino an incredibly aromatic profile. The wine has notes of Mediterranean scrub blended with mineral and white flower scents. The flavors are a perfect match of fresh and savory.

Alcoholic fermentation with natural yeasts. Aged for about 3 months on its lees in stainless steel tanks.

2020 Casanova Della Spinetta Rose, Tuscany, Italy $21.99
Inspired by Provencal Rosés, the Rivettis decided to produce one rosé from their porfolio. The fascinating characteristics of Sangiovese and Prugnolo Gentile, permitted us to create a wine that shows great character, an intense aroma, and which is very pleasant to drink. It has a floral and fruity bouquet with hints of citrus and Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is wonderfully fresh and delicate with satisfying minerality and an all-embracing acidity.
Blend: 50% Sangiovese, 50% Prugnolo Gentile

2020 Ciacci Piccolmini D'Aragona Toscana Rosso, Tuscany, Italy $16.99
This multifaceted wine is suited to day to day drinking, easily matched with all foods, full bodied thanks to the blend of the grapes used.  The Sangiovese Grosso into this IGT comes from the youngest plots close to the vineyards dedicated to the production of Rosso di Montalcino DOC and Brunello di Montalcino DOCG.
mostly Sangiovese, Syrah, Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon.  Vinification: in stainless steel vats with temperature controlled through cooling jackets.
Refining: in concrete vats.

2019 Cottanera "Barbazzale" Etna Rosso, Mt Etna, Sicily $18.99
Under the stewardship of siblings Mariangela and Francesco Cambria, Cottanera has moved to a passionate and intimate comprehension of Etna's indigenous grapes and the singular growing sites on the volcano. This estate is full of energy and a uniquely positive vibe that comes through especially in an emerging wine region such as this. Keep your eyes on Cottanera because this is indeed an exciting winery to watch.” -Wine Advocate

Nerello Mascalese and 10 % Nerello Capuccio – 15 year old vines in lava-alluvial & lava-clay. Stainless steel fermented with frequent pump-overs and 5 months aging. No oak.
2019 Review - 89 Points, Vinous: “keeps you coming back to the glass with a woodland-inspired display of wild berries, lavender, wet stone and undergrowth. It’s soft-textured and fleshy, maintaining balance through a pure display of fresh strawberries laced with sweet spice and florals. Round tannins frame the expression nicely, tapers off to a dusting of violet candies. Easy to like, showing quite well today, and it is a fantastic bargain.”

2017 Malvira Barbera D'Alba, Piedmont, Italy $24.99
Malvira Barbera d’Alba
100% Barbera planted at 300 meters altitude in sandy calcareous clay soil within the tiny San Michele vineyard.  Aged in French oak for 18 months and bottle rested for 1 year.
2018 vintage: Vinous: “The 2018 Barbera d'Alba is a soft, succulent wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, spice and new leather are nicely pushed forward.”
