The Line-Up

2019 Fernandez Gomez "Seleccion Familia Blanca", Rioja Alavesa, Spain $19.99
Bordered by the River Ebro on the South and the towering Cantabria mountains on the North, the Rioja Alavesa region is home to all the vineyards owned by family Fernandez Gomez, the majority of which are 80+ years old. All hand-harvested, the Fernandez Gomez wines are a product of centuries of winemaking knowledge.
“Peach and apricot aromas give way to vanilla and resiny oak notes.  This blend of Viura, Malvasia, and Garnacha Blanca is full in body and has taken well to oak.  Melon, green banana, and wood spice flavors are dry and elegant on the finish.”   – Wine Enthusiast

2018  Fernandez Gomez "Seleccion Familia Tinto Crianza", Rioja Alavesa, Spain $21.99
Hand harvested. Aged in second use French and American oak barrels for 12 months with one racking, moved to concrete deposits to blend and marry for one month and then bottled unfined.
This Seleccion Familia is a blend of grapes from 6 different Tempranillo vineyards owned by the Fernandez Gomez family in the Rioja Alavesa region of D.O. Rioja.

2015 Bodega Carabal "Rasgo" Ribeiro del Guardiana, Spain $21.99

On the nose there is a perfect combination of its primary aromas, red plum, scrub and blackberries, with aging, dry wood and cocoa. The red fruit stands out in the mouth, not lacking in complexity. Rich, tasty and fresh. Good taste today and with positive evolution.

2014 Bodega Carabal "Carabal Cavea" Ribeiro del Guardiana, Spain $25.99
A structured and elegant wine. Attractive cherry red color of high depth. Complex when firstly approached in the nose, it shows a wise combination of black fruit, roasted aromas and mineral background. Meaty and well balanced in the mouth.

2018 Pomar de Burgos "Barrica", Ribeiro Del Duero, Spain $21.99
2021 Cuadrilla opens up with dark ripe plum highlighted with bright fresh red berries.  Deep and supple with fine chalky tannins already married with a smooth, polished texture.  An alluring otherness of wet stones, mint, and mocha prevail from the nose through the mouth captivating the senses beyond just the magnificently pleasurable profile.

2018 Pomar de Burgos "Crianza", Ribeiro Del Duero, Spain $29.99
The POMAR DE BURGOS CRIANZA matures for 14 months in French oak barrels. It impresses with its intense red, brilliant and clear. Also intense on the nose, with a complex scent of ripe fruit. On the palate it is voluminous and with a nice structure of sweet tannins and a long finish. You can taste nuances of black fruits, cocoa and a light menthol taste.

2017  Fernandez Gomez "Garnacha Rioja", Rioja Alavesa, Spain $27.99
Carlos Fernandez and his brothers produce Tempranillo and Garnacha that is zesty and lively, with tremendous energy and lifted aromatics.
Lifted, crystalline red fruit aromas (think cherry, raspberry, alpine strawberry) lead into a medium bodied palate showing more red fruit, garrigue, and clove. Lovely with anything involving mushrooms.
