2022 Bethel Heights Pinot Noir Rose, Willamette Valley, Oregon $33,99
Bethel Heights' Estate Rosé traditionally comes from their oldest Pinot noir planting at Bethel Heights, own-rooted Wädenswil vines planted in 1977. Picked early, whole cluster pressed to avoid extraction of tannin, fermented cool in stainless steel with no malolactic fermentation, and voilà – a bright, refreshing wine that captures the essence of summer, with all the aromatic complexity of Pinot noir but with the lighter body of an elegant aromatic white wine.
2021 Bethel Heights Pinot Noir Estate Eola-Amity, Willamette Valley, Oregon $33.99
The 2021 Estate Pinot Noir reflects the multifaceted nature of the vintage: the abundance of fruit from their early picks under sunny skies and the earthen complexity we found from our older vines picked in cooler October weather. Blending the Estate is often their most difficult task because it is our largest bottling each vintage, and thus includes both our successes and shortcomings. Thanks to diligent farming from our vineyard team, attention to detail, and a fantastic winemaking team for harvest, the 2021 Estate Pinot Noir contains only successes.
2019 Bethel Heights Pinot Noir Aeolian, Willamette Valley, Oregon $63.99
The 2019 Aeolian presents both purity and power; aromas of black cherry, rhubarb, and black tea, tremendous tension through the mid palate, and firm, fine grain tannins through the finish.
Critical Acclaim RP95Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Medium ruby-purple, the 2019 Pinot Noir AEolian has alluring scents of blood orange, tea leaves and earth with wild berries and Angostura-like accents. Silky and fresh, it flows across the palate with detailed floral flavors and finishes long and layered.
2021 St Innocent Pinot Blanc Freedom Hill, Willamette Valley, Oregon $25.99
Imagine sticking your nose in a box of fresh, ripe peaches on an ocean beach smelling the salt in the air and about to swallow a fresh oyster. Yup, that is this wine. The palate follows a similar theme: peach followed by pear flavors with a particularly lovely rocky, salinity and broad textures around your tongue. The fruit is a result of long hours of sun kept precise by cool nights. The salinity is the result of the very old ocean floor; sedimentary soils affect the Pinot blanc vines and the resulting minerality captured in the wine.
This Pinot Blanc is produced in a style to accentuate texture and ripe fruit flavors. The must was fermented 24% in an Acacia cask and 76% in tank and aged for eight months on the lees.
2018 St Innocent Pinot Noir Temperance Hill, Willamette Valley, Oregon $57.99
Dark cherry and blackberry aromas with black pepper, cinnamon/clove spices and cedar smoke. The mouth begins with a big hit of smoky spice and black raspberry with notes of roasted chilies and dried plums. The finish has loads of substantial skin tannins with plenty of juicy acidity that elevates the pallet, maintaining ample ripe flavors long into the finish. This is an especially intense Temperance Hill, reflecting the small berries and full ripeness achieved in 2018.
The de-stemmed grapes were fermented in 4-8 ton stainless steel and Burgundy oak fermenters with no SO2, allowing the fermentations to process naturally. After gentle pressing and settling, the wine aged in French oak barrels, 19% of which were new, for 16 months before bottling by gravity and without fining.
