2021 Los Haroldos Estate Sauvignon Blanc, Mendoza, Argentina $19.99
Our family has its roots in the wine industry, with more than 80 years of experience.
Attractive personality, balanced acidity and excellent aromatic complexity.
Aromas reminiscent of pink grapefruit and fresh herbs with notes of tropical fruits and rue.
2016 Bodega Calle "Ca' Da Calle Gan Reserva", Mendoza, Argentina $29.99
Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon
From the makers of the Dharma Wines we love so much! Bodega Calle places great emphasis on gently crafting wines with regional distinction and grand personality. A small-lot, gravity-flow, red wine production studio, Bodega Calle concentrates on varietal wines and premium red blends sourced from viticultural areas throughout Luján de Cuyo and Valle de Uco. Located in the restored Claudio Erice winery, originally built in 1925, Bodega Calle opened in 2001. Grapes are farmed without the use of herbicides or pesticides, are hand-picked and sorted and vinified using native yeasts.
Dark purple color. Forward nose of toasty plums, black cherry, and lilac flowers. On the palate the wine is rich and full, with layers of berry flavors and a hint of bittersweet chocolate. Finishes soft with balancing acidity.
2016 Elqui Wines Pinot Noir Limited Release, Elqui Valley, Chile $27.99
Elqui wines are crafted by talented winemaker Steffan Jorgensen and his Chilean wife, Pamela Núñez. Steffan, originally from Denmark, forged his expertise at one of Washington’s most awarded wineries, Bergevin Lane. Together, they create these Chilean gems, crafted from fruit coming from their 20-acre vineyard in the beautiful Elqui Valley.
2016 Elqui Pinot Noir Reserva Chile is a single vineyard Pinot Noir from Maitén. This vineyard is located in a privileged terroir with rocky, sandy, ancient soils. There's a reason wineries are leaving Casablanca for Elqui Valley, and this wine exemplifies why.
Aging: 24 months in French oak barrels, 30% new.
Tasting Notes: 100% Pinot Noir. Fresh sour red and dark cherries intertwine with sweet raspberries burst from the glass followed up by a mineral spice core and hints of black rose petals. In the mouth, voluptuous and rich, with fresh opulent fruit notes and velvety super silky tannin. The wine lingers with pure and utter elegance. Chile’s Northernmost Pinot Noir in all its glory!
2016 Elqui Wines Carmenere, Elqui Valley, Chile $27.99
Deep and dark almost creamy nose gives way for black currant, meat, earth and spicy minerals from the Ancient Elqui River bed. Rich and mouth filling with an incredible amount of suave creamy fine grained tannins. Young and brooding but with an incredible smooth and velvety approach. Lingering spice and fruit blends with the more mineral laden flavors of the Micro Terroir of the Elqui Valley. Broad, big and bold but sophisticatedly pleasing!!! If you want value for money this is where its at.
2017 Flaherty " Valle de Aconcaqua", Maule Valley, Chile $25.99
60% Syrah | 13% Petite Verdot | 10% Tempranillo | 17% Cabernet Sauvignon
As a small, boutique winery, we have chosen to make red blends to create complexity and consistent quality by working with several different varieties. Our hand-crafted wines aim to reflect the regional differences of the areas where the grapes are grown.
Flaherty Winery is one of the founding members of the Independent Vintners’ Movement (MOVI), a trade organization for small owner-involved wine projects. The group organizes an annual tasting, MOVI Night, held in Santiago in November of each year.
2016 Flaherty Cauquenes Red, Maule Valley, Chile $32.99
Wild blackberry, cherry, and licorice flavors are beautifully complemented by notes of leather jacket, fresh raspberry, plum, pie spices, and an inky undertone of graphite. This is a wine that will age well, gaining complexity with time in the bottle.
Hailing from the Tequel vineyard, the blend clearly reflects its origins. It is dry-farmed and head-trained and is a true expression of the viticultural traditions of Cauquenes.
The vineyard is situated 15 kilometers south of Cauquenes in the Maule Region and 42 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean, which provides a cooling influence. The gently rolling hills of the area feature deep red clay soils of granitic origin. The wines from this vineyard features well-structured tannins, wild blackberry and cherry flavors, and lots of earthy spice.
