NV Parigot Quartier Libre Cremant De Bourgogne Extra Brut, Burgundy, France $37.99
The NV Parigot & Richard "Quartier Libre" Extra Brut is a fresh and lively Champagne-style sparkling wine with aromas of crisp green apple, citrus peel, and subtle floral notes. The palate is bright and vibrant, showcasing flavors of ripe lemon, white peach, and a touch of almond. The mousse is fine and persistent, with a lively acidity that leads to a clean, mineral-driven finish with a hint of toastiness from extended lees aging.
100% Aligote
From the winemaker: "With beautiful aligoté grapes in our hands, we wanted to pay homage to this charming Burgundy grape variety and give free rein to our savoir faire, by creating a cuvée according to our desires, off the beaten track. Quartier Libre, a pure and direct cuvée, with an assertive indigenous character."
Parigot & Richard has been producing fine Crémant in Burgundy for five generations, and remains one of the very few domaines that focuses exclusively on these wines. Located in Savigny-lès-Beaune, with vineyards in both the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune, Parigot is today directed by Grégory Georger, the current generation’s torchbearer. He adheres precisely in every respect to the traditional Méthode Champenoise, from hand-harvesting, pressing and fermentation, even hand-riddling.
NV Domaine Serol Turbullent Sparkling Rose, Loire Valley, France $25.99
Winemaker notes: Vivid pink color. Ripe grape, pear and raspberry aromas. In mouth, the aromatic expression of Gamay is emphasized by the bubbles finesse. Rounded attack well-balanced by a lively finish.
Fun, fresh, and fruity sparkling rosé, and deliciously drinkable at just 9% ABV. Made from Gamay using the traditional method in Côte Roannaise near Beaujolais, the nose is immediate and inviting with aromas of rose petals, cinnamon, strawberry tart, and apple strudel. A little sugar on the palate gives the wine some weight and body, balanced by refreshingly high acidity. Great picnic/porch wine.
2022 Domaine Sylvain Pataille Bourgogne Aligote, Burgundy, France $36.99
Variety: Aligoté Doré Not all Aligotés are created equal: Aligoté Vert, the modern clonal selection, is the high-yielding version; Aligoté Doré, the pre-clonal version, is so fantastic you wouldn’t believe it is the same variety. Both have high acidity but the comparison ends there. There is both a complexity to the acidity of Aligoté Doré and a complexity to the fruit that surrounds it, that is in another league altogether.
Vine Age: 52 years old on average
Terroir: 60% from Champ Forey (limestone and gravel soil), 40% from Auvonnes (clay, marl soil with small stones)
Viticulture: Certified organic, biodynamic methods
Vinification: Directly pressed, indigenous yeast fermentation (2/3 in older barrels, 1/3 in tank). Aged for 12 months, minimal sulfur, added only at bottling.
In bottle. Mid lemon yellow. A fine tangy fruit on the nose, crunchy and classy, a little bit of almond paste, very long. Just a lovely example, straightforward by Sylvain’s standards but so persistent. Drink from 2024-2027.
2022 Domaine Sylvain Pataille Marsannay Rouge, Burgundy, France $68.99

Decent red purple. The nose though is spectacular, ultra welcoming plums and dark raspberries, quite stunning fruit right across the palate with a gorgeous balanced deep red fruit. Brilliant fruit acid balance. Unmatchable. Drink from 2028-2035.

2022 Vincent Ruiz Les Vins De Vincent A Mon Ami Faust Grenache Noir, Rhone Valley, France $30.99
A delicate and vibrant wine from southern Ardèche’s high-altitude vineyards. Sourced from old bush-trained Grenache vines planted in clay-limestone soil, the fruit is hand-harvested and fermented 100% whole-cluster with ambient yeast. Vincent Ruiz, a rising star in the wine world and the leader of Domaine du Gringet, employs a gentle winemaking process with minimal intervention, including 15 days of maceration without punchdowns or pump-overs, followed by aging in stainless steel tanks. The result is a striking wine with an iridescent magenta hue, offering aromas of ripe redcurrant, tangerine, and dried herbs, balanced by earthy undertones. On the palate, it is light yet structured, with lively acidity and a refreshing balance of fruit and freshness.
2022 Vincent Ruiz Les Vins De Vincent Prima Materia Grenache Noir, Rhone Valley, France $30.99
