The Line-Up

2020 Malvira Roero Arneis, Piedmont, Italy $19.99
Made with organically grown grapes, this has delicate, enticing aromas reminiscent of ripe white stone fruit, crushed mint, pineapple and freshly made bread dough. On the linear, savory palate, notes of bitter almond and ginger accent a core of Bartlett pear and lemon drop before a tangy mineral close. KERIN O’KEEFE

2020 Cocita Langhe Bianco "Ben Turno", Piedmont, Italy $25.99
Ezio Cocito comes from a family of farmers. When he purchased the Baluchin vineyard in Neive in 2000, he turned to Giorgio Rivetti for help in crafting a small production Barbaresco from his family Estate.

2020 Vigna Del Lauro Cabernet Franc, Friuli, Italy $17.99
Delicious dark berry flavor and notes of pepper with a surprisingly refreshing acidity. This Cabernet Franc boasts a smooth and elegant mid-palate and graceful finish. The alcohol content is a moderate 12.5%, making this an ideal wine to enjoy with or without food. On warmer days, it’s nice served slightly chilled.

2019 Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona "Rossofonte" Rosso di Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy $35.99
Fruity aromas of ripe berries with balsamic notes on the nose predict an alternation between sweetness and acidity in the mouth. Its sweet-acid components evoke raspberry and ripe blackberry. Spicy finish recalls star anise and pink pepper. Powdery tannins.
Excellent with typical Tuscan dishes such as T-bone steak and ragout sauce. Suitable, when young, with fish soup featuring scorpion fish and monkfish.

2018 Tenuta Santa Maria Valpolicella Ripasso, Veneto, Italy $35.99
Creamy wild strawberries and raspberries on the nose, held tight by a light, oaky note. Medium-to full-bodied with some tight, firm tannin that exerts the same kind of restraint on the juicy fruit. This is quite a complex wine that’s delicious now, but will continue to improve.

NV Bianca Vigna Spumante Rosa, Italy $19.99
This salmon pink sparkler is an intriguing blend of the typical Prosecco variety Glera and Pinot Nero. A very fine and persistent perlage opens to ethereal perfumes of spring flowers, orchard fruit and distinctive notes of red berries, enhanced by a delicate hint of aromatic herbs. The fresh and silky palate reveals rich fruit (white peach, cherry) to conclude in a refined finish with bright acidity.
