NV Azimut Brut Nature Cava, Penedes, Spain $19.99
Owned by the Suriol family, Cellers de Can Suriol del Castell is known for making wines and vintage Cava with personality in the organic wine-making tradition. All of their wines are estate bottled.
Pale yellow, with small and constant bubbles. It boasts a complex and intense aroma of mature white fruit. The palate is soft but elegant.

Pairing: Specially recommended for toasts, celebrations, and light meals.

Christina Gruner Veltliner, Carnuntum, Austria $19.99
Winemaker Christina Netzl and her family organically farm 28 hectares in Carnuntum winemaking region, located just east of Vienna. The Grüner Veltliner is bright and refreshing. Spontaneous fermentation in steel tank, bottled unfined and unfiltered and is slightly cloudy in the glass due to sediment.

Gaspard Chenin Blanc, Loire Valley, France $19.99
Gaspard is one of Jenny & François’ house labels – wines that come from our exclusive cooperation with carefully selected winemakers from France and beyond. It’s Jenny’s great pleasure to bring you wines that are kinder to both nature and your budget while being very delicious, and these Loire Valley creations definitely tick all the boxes!  “Gaspard” is a traditional French boy’s name that means “bringer of treasure” – a fitting title for these easy-drinking gifts that keep on giving.
Chenin is a wonderfully versatile variety, and this wine shows the fresh side of it, full of pears, quince, baked apples and lively acidity. Great with all sorts of fish / seafood dishes or with fresh or goat cheese.
Clay and limestone. 30 – 50 years old vines, sustainable growing practices.

Domaine Rimbert "Le Petit Cochon Bronze" Rose, France $18.99
The “Tan Little Pig” is made from grapes harvested at their maximum ripeness and immediately destemmed.

This rosé is vibrant pink in the glass. Deep scents of ultra-ripe crushed red cherries, a note of guava paste, overripe fig flesh and a pretty, yet smoky note of sweet herbs. Blood Orange infused red berry flavors dominate the palate and are set-off by the wines generous minerality.

Gaspard Rose, Loire Valley, France $17.99
Varietals: Pineau d'Aunis, Cabernet Franc, and Gamay
The taste of sunshine and the color of sunlight through a window after a rain.  This rosé, from the clay & limestone soil of Touraine in the Middle Loire Valley, is organic & a bit astringent & slightly tannic. Despite those characteristics, it's fruity: cranberry with. Raspberry notes & white pepper in the finish. Initially, bubblegum aromas were a bit off putting. Fortunately, they soon gave away to cranberries with dried herbal notes.
Grapes are pressed immediately and fermented with indigenous yeast, resulting in a light extraction of color. The wine spends 6 months on its fine lees in tanks. Filtered, not fined.

Remi Dufaitre Premices Beaujolais Villages, Beaujolais, France $24.99
The “birth” of Chateau Simian in the early 20th century sounds almost like a fairytale – the one where fate bestows fortune upon a common person in reward for their loyal services. This is exactly what happened to Marcelle Laudret, a young woman who had worked for years for Sophie Simian, the owner of a country house and several neighboring vineyards. When Madame Simian died in 1920 without any direct family to pass the property on to, her will designated Marcelle as the heir, and Marcelle’s descendants have owned the property ever since.

Chateau Simian Atout Rouge, France $21.99

Something for the wine geeks among us: besides the globally-known Syrah and Merlot, this red wine also sports two lesser-known Mediterannean grapes, the Alicante Bouschet that brings a lot of color to the blend (such grapes are called tenturier in French), and the Caladoc, a relatively new cross of Grenache and Malbec.

Intense, lively, convivial. Spices up your gathering with a congenial mix of cherry, licorice, and white pepper. Silky smooth with pleasant fruit, a highly sociable accompaniment to all kinds of aperitivo, cold cuts and barbecues…

Clos Siquier Old VInes "Les Camille", Cahors, France $21.99
80-year-old vines
Aged in 600-liter wood tanks for two years. Indigenous yeasts, no filtration.
Cahors is divided into two distinct terroirs — this appellation is traditionally known for its heavy and brooding black wines that take years to reveal any fruit. These dark tannic wines come from the heavy soil down by the Lot River. Gilles Bley’s vines, by contrast, are on the lesser-known, better-drained terroir, up on the flat terraces above. His wines express the lighter and brighter side of Cahors. He produces wines that are surprisingly bright and fruit-driven with depth of red and black fruit, subtle terroir and silken tannins. Clos Siguier produces wines that are at once readily accessible, but also age-worthy. Drink now or put down for a few years. All grapes are handpicked.
